Energise me!
Overcome fatigue and increase your energy through evidence-based nutrition
Do these sound familiar?
- Low mood and persistent brain fog
- Running on empty but unable to switch off or sleep
- Sugar cravings and energy crashes through the day
- Fatigue: relying on caffeine just to feel functional
- Feeling wired but tired: like the off-switch is broken
Energy is fundamental to life, and importantly enjoying life. Without energy you can’t enjoy your time with family, friends, doing hobbies or work. Feeling energised to me is an absolute must. I’ve learnt the hard way just how much we take energy for granted and how hard it is to regain it.
Your energy levels are managed in part by hormones released from the adrenal glands, two walnut-sized organs on top of your kidneys. Stress drains the adrenal glands, leaving them both unable to control these hormones and triggers cortisol production to release glucose to the brain, heart and muscles to ensure they are fuelled sufficiently to deal with the stress (work pressure, children, financial stress, poor sleep, training hard – whatever it may be). Short-term this is normal, but long-term stress exhausts the adrenals and cortisol levels plummet, causing the symptoms above.
How increase energy levels?
Addressing the underlying body’s imbalances in the hormonal (inc thyroid), immune, gut or nervous systems, plus mitochondrial issues may also be required to address your tiredness and fatigue.
From Long-Covid fatigue to daily blood sugar energy crashes, addressing adrenal fatigue to mitochondria health, we can support your energy levels so you can focus on the elements in your life that bring you joy.
We can help you identify your root causes of contributing factors of stress, balance your blood sugar levels to keep cortisol in check, plus lifestyle changes and self-care guidance to improve your energy and wellness.
Our programmes help people get their spark back using positive nutritional and lifestyle changes.
